Subconscious wisdom

Subconscious wisdom

The wisdom of the subconscious mind is mainly manifested in its amazing inner vision for the subtle changes of the body, its ability to recall the past of childhood, its ability to correct and compensate for the life of the narrow consciousness, and its revelation.

The subconscious mind is like a wise doctor, has been monitoring the situation of your body, even the subtle changes in the subconscious mind will appear in an exaggerated way in the dream, for example, the temperature of a certain part of the body is slightly increased, you may dream that you are 'walking into the flame, and feel its heat.'

There are medical reports that when someone is diagnosed with a disease and the disease is still lurking in the body,

Its early signs have already appeared symbolically in the patient's dreams. For example, a young student dreamed for several nights that 'he was entangled in a boa constrictor and could not move.' Later, I felt unwell, so I went to see a doctor, but the doctor could not diagnose anything wrong. It wasn't until three months later, when the disease had worsened, that doctors saw on X-rays a malignant tumor in his spine, but it was too late, and the young student ended up almost completely paralyzed. Of course, the tumor does not come out in a day, and 'being entangled in a large squat snake and unable to move' may be the symbol of the initial symptoms of spinal tumors.

Another example is the woman who had several dreams of 'being pressed into the dirt and having difficulty breathing,' and two months later, the doctor concluded that she had tuberculosis.

Like these dreams, which are 'physical inward vision,' the dreamer receives a 'belated revelation' after the clinic confirms it. But not all 'physical vision' can only do this 'hindsight', Master Kent, who often studies the dreams of others in his sleep lab, had this dream one night:

'I dreamed that I had inoperable lung cancer, and I stared at the ominous shadow on my chest X-ray and realized that my entire right lung had been invaded by cancer cells. Later, a colleague examined me and found that the cancer had spread extensively to the lymph nodes under my arm. I experienced unspeakable grief knowing that my life would soon be over and that I would never see my children grow up. If I had just quit smoking when I knew cigarettes were carcinogenic, nothing would have happened.'

Kent is a heavy smoker. He smokes two packs of cigarettes a day. When he woke up from this nightmare, he felt relieved of the burden, as if the joy of profit rebirth, so he 'decided to quit smoking.' Maybe because he smoked too much, it made his lungs uncomfortable, so he did it

Given such a dream (psychological worries certainly played a part), it's not clear whether Kent got checked out or not, but he did manage to quit smoking and is still alive and well. This can be said to be a typical and beneficial 'revelation'.

The wisdom of the subconscious mind is also manifested in its ability to expand the horizons of our mind, and sometimes even childhood memories long forgotten by us will surface. Here's a dream example:

A man wanted to go back to visit his hometown, which he had been away from for more than twenty years. The night before he was to leave, he dreamed that he was in a completely strange place and was talking to a stranger. When he returned to his hometown, he found that the 'strange place' in his dream was the scenery of his hometown, and the 'stranger' in his dream was really a person, a good friend of his father before his death. He had seen these scenes and this person as a child, and although he could not recall them during the day, he could reproduce them in his dreams.

Another woman, who is in her 30s this year, has recently been dreaming that the nanny who used to work in her house and her former tutor are sleeping in the same bed, and even the location of the goddess is clearly displayed in the dream. Amused, she told her brother about the dream, and he told her that it had actually happened when they were children. Her brother was six, and she

He was only three years old, and slept in the same room with his nurse, who, when the adults of the family were not around, would get him drunk with beer and make him dizzy; They thought the three-year-old child was not sensible, so they stole joy in front of her. The woman had 'forgotten' the event on the surface, but in the dream they had 'come alive' again.

A doctor who has been a doctor for more than 20 years said that he often dreamed of a small black bear since he was a child, and he could even describe the image of a small black bear clearly. But he did not know why he always dreamed of the little black bear, until one day the truth came to light. Originally his family did have a small black bear made of cloth, had long forgotten, his mother told him that he liked to play with the small black bear when he was a child, sleep at night still hold it, but his consciousness has no impression on this.

Sometimes the tentacles of the subconscious can even reach beyond individual experiences into the nest of 'racial memories' - in other words, the 'archetypes' of the collective subconscious. 'Prototype', it means an instinctive tendency of human thinking, we often have this 'prototype dream', for example, a psychologist has had such a dream:

'I dreamed that I was walking through a cemetery where the graves were lined up in rows with stone statues of the dead. As I walked by, the statues came back to life one by one, and the last one was a warrior in armor, at first

He was dead at first, but soon one of his fingers began to move and showed signs of life.'

The master of dream interpretation believed that such dreams could not come from personal experience or fantasy, but should come from racial experience older than personal experience. In mythology, in the death tributes of primitive peoples, in the dreams of modern people and in the hallucinations of mental patients, the above theme can be found, that is, the embodiment of the 'resurrection archetype.' Because it comes from the collective unconscious, its revelation is also collective, trying to guide people to think about and face the common problem of 'death.'

In addition to collective revelation, 'inner vision of the mind' is more likely to bring about individual revelation. Although our consciousness is more concentrated during the day, it is also more narrow and rigid, and the subconscious cannot correct and compensate for this shortcoming of consciousness.

For example, a young man's dream: 'I dreamed that my father was driving a new Audi car, and he was driving very unnaturally, and I was very worried about his clumsiness. He went east and west, forward and backward, and the car stopped several times in between. Finally, his car hit a wall and was smashed to pieces. I flew into a rage and shouted at him to self-examine. But he just smiled, and I realized he was very drunk.'

In fact, this dream of the dreamer could not happen in reality, because his father was not only skilled in driving, but also very cautious, and never drank too much, especially before driving. His father would get very angry if he met anyone who couldn't drive, or who accidentally damaged the car a little. Moreover, the young man has a good relationship with his father, he thinks his father is great, he admires his father's achievements, and the father is also very concerned about his son's life. In the dream, however, his father became rather awkward and ridiculous, and the dreamer shouted at him to self-review.

In fact, the reason why the dreamer would make up such an impossible dream to damage his father's reputation does not mean that the son hated his father and wanted to attack his father, nor does it mean that he had a love of mother and hate his father during his childhood, but that there must be an obvious intention in his subconscious to produce this dream, and his subconscious is obviously to belittling his father's value. But why would the subconscious want to disparage his father? Because the dreamer's consciousness regards his father as too great, he relies on his father for everything, and does not exert his personal ability. The subconscious therefore puts forward 'blame' to the consciousness, and tries to improve its own value by lowering the status of the father in the dream, which is the 'compensation' of the subconscious to the consciousness. The dream seemed to remind him that he should not always rely on his father, but should have his own ideas and develop his own potential.

Another example is Xiao Li's visit to Mr. B. Before the visit, Xiao Li had heard that Mr. B was very wise and kind, and he was excited at the thought of having to pay homage to a great and kind elder. That night he had a dream:

'I saw Mr. B and his face was very different from what I saw yesterday. I saw a face that showed cruelty and severity. He was laughing and telling people that he had just cheated a poor old lady and made her lose her last few cents. I was surprised and excited by the impression.'

Xiao Li himself said that when he first walked into Mr. B's room and saw his face for the first time, there was a fleeting feeling of disappointment, but this feeling disappeared after he and Mr. B began to talk warmly and kindly, and at the end of the conversation, his heart was full of joy, but why did Mr. B appear in the dream become a 'cruel and severe' person? Perhaps this is the dreamer's true view of Mr. B, deep down in his heart (consistent with his first impression of Mr. B), but because everyone says that 'Mr. B is a kind man,' this public opinion prevents him from having a negative intuitive impression of Mr. B in his waking life during the day, when in fact the image that emerges from his dream is his 'real idea' of Mr. B. According to Xiao Li later said that after further contact with Mr. B, he gradually found that Mr. B was really just as he had dreamed - a cruel and severe person.

In this dream the subconscious mind reveals its unique wisdom, which often has superior insight than the conscious mind.

Some dreams are revelatory, if you are inspired and choose your life according to the direction guided by the revelation, then maybe your life has chosen the direction of rise, as for the choice of the direction of rise or fall, mainly depends on the ability of this person to seize the opportunity and his judgment.

For example, a writer who is well known, but not very well paid, is now offered a position where he can earn more money than he currently does, but must be forced to write something he does not believe in and which violates his integrity. Because the position was so attractive, he could not decide whether to refuse it, given the money and prestige it might bring. In his waking hours during the day, he typically rationalizes the problem: He told himself that the problem was not as serious as he thought, that even if he wrote something inauthentic and contrary to his personality, the time would not be long, and that he could leave as soon as he made enough money, which would allow him to be completely independent and free to do what he felt was meaningful, and also to help his relatives and friends. Under this rationalization, accepting the position becomes his 'moral obligation,' and rejecting it becomes an expression of self-indulgence and self-centered attitude. But he hesitated, and one night he did this

A dream:

'I dreamed that I was in a car parked at the foot of a high mountain, where there was a narrow and particularly steep road leading to the top of the mountain. I doubt whether I should drive up, for the road looks dangerous. But a man standing next to the car encouraged me, and he told me to drive up. I listened to him and decided to follow his advice. So I really drove up, which knows the road is getting more and more dangerous, but it is impossible to stop the car, because there is no turning back. As I neared the top of the mountain, the engine suddenly stopped and the brakes failed. The car slid backwards and fell off the cliff! I woke up in horror.'

The dream revealed the writer's deep (subconscious) feelings about whether or not to accept the position. It is worth mentioning that the man in the dream who advised him not to be afraid to drive up the mountain was an old painter friend of his, who 'sold himself' and became a popular portrait painter, and he did make a lot of money, but at the same time lost his creativity. He knew that his friend appeared to have succeeded, but he felt empty and bitter about betraying himself. The path to the top of the mountain was a symbol of the position that tempted him, and in his dream it was 'narrow and steep', which clearly told him that it was dangerous

Yes. If he had followed the advice of his painter friend and driven up the mountain road, he would have destroyed himself and become as discredited as his painter friend.

The writer's consciousness, through 'rationalization,' is ready to accept work that goes against its interests, but in his sleep his subconscious 'warns' that a narrow consciousness that goes its own way may 'fall off a cliff.' The dream was meant to remind him of the situation he was facing and the possible consequences, and he finally decided that in order to preserve his integrity, he chose to give up the decision of the attractive position.
